The Museum trip
Last Thursday Team 2 went to the Auckland Museum on a blue and white bus. When we got there we hopped out of the bus. We walked inside the Museum and then we had morning tea. After that we went to the top floor. We saw a dinosaur bones. My favourite exhibit the candy wall. My second best is the astronaut. Then we had Lunch. After Lunch played on the field and then we got back on the bus and went back to school. I really enjoyed the trip.

Maui and the sun
Once there was a strong tough warrior called Maui. His tough brothers had muscles. They lived beside the river. They tried to fish but the sun was going speedy in the sky. They went to the sun's grey cave and they waited and waited and then the sun rose up. Next they threw the strong rope and Maui told the sun to slow down a bit and he did. Now there was a enaugh time to go fishing and enjoy the sun.

Matariki
What is Matariki? Matariki is about the seven stars or seven sisters. Matariki is when you celebrate a new year. They go away at the end of April and when it's Autumn. The whole stars have a name. The older sisters name is Matariki. How do we celebrate Matariki? This is how you can celebrate Matariki. You can fly a kite or you build a boat or do some farming. Or you can share stories.
